When this book was over, I didn’t want it to end! I mentioned this book in my favorites, too.  It was smart, thrilling and laugh out loud funny. Parts of this book had me biting my nails in suspense. Other parts I was crying since I was so connected to the Martian character, Mark.

This was one of the best books I have read in a long time. I was lost in the story and hooked from page one.

If you don’t know, here is a brief overview of the plot. NASA sends a group up to Mars and they encounter a sandstorm. The crew believes one man, Mark, is dead and leaves Mars. Turns out he is alive and the book is all about him surviving and trying to get home to Earth. It is so cool, because the part of the book where we hear/get to know Mark, it is by his journal entries that he is logging in case he doesn’t make it. We get to learn about his farm, his food rationing, his journeys and mishaps.

Honestly, you need to read this one people!

Did you read this book? Any thoughts?
