DIY Scarf Storage

In Hawaii, it gets chilly! It really does. So it is nice to have some lightweight scarves to throw on when the air gets a bit chilly.

I used to throw my scarves over my hangers in my closet. This was a terrible idea. They were always wrinkled and took up a LOT of space in my closet. I knew I had to do something.

And then it dawned on me. I had a box kicking around that I received from a special edition popsugar box. It’s a beautiful, sturdy black box. I took all of my scarves off the hangers. I folded them in half and rolled them up. Then, into the box they go!

See? Easy scarf storage. You can use any shoebox or other kind of box you have lying around. This storage system for my scarves is a lot of benefits for me:

  • Saves closet space
  • Keeps them less wrinkled
  • Helps visually, since I can now see them all in one place
  • Did I mention this saves closet space???

I used a similar method for my husband’s bowties, but obviously on a smaller scale.
