So, if I get an email about a free item, regardless of what it is, I check it out. You know that gets your attention, too! In May (2015), ColourPop was offering a free shadow in the shade Birthday Girl to any order to celebrate their anniversary. You can see more details of this in my general review post.
If the ColourPop shadow were for sale it would’ve been $5, as their other shadows are. So right here we can see the price is higher for the Loreal one. But check out the side-by-side picture. They are pretty close. The ColourPop has a lot of different micro glitter in it, which makes it take on different colors as it shifts, but overall I would say it is close. Obviously the textures are not the same in anyway, because the ColourPop is almost mouse like.
While this isn’t the exact same, if you were bummed you missed out on the ColourPop shadow you might as well give the Loreal one a try since it is pretty darn close since they both have that rose gold look going on.
Until next time, plant nothing but love.
